Last Minute Trip to Cape Cod - Hotel Help

Hello Everyone,

Planning a last minute trip to Cape Cod with my Mom. Doing the Cape Cod Dinner train Sat night and then whale watch with Dolphin Fleet hopefully on Sunday AM - NEXT Weekend! The activities were Mom's choice but I get to pick the place to stay. Was hoping for something in between that we could drive to after the dinner train and not have too long a drive in the AM to get to p-town. Problem I am having is a room with 2 beds. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

We like the Inn at Duck Creek in Wellfleet. Very pretty, nicer than the Rt 6 motels and reasonable. For Rt 6 motels, we have stayed at Wellfleet Motor Inn & Lodge and the Southfleet MOtor Inn & we liked both of them (all in Wellfleet). Prices don't include breakfast but there are nice restaurants on the property for breakfast.

We've also stayed at Skaket Beach Motel in Orleans which is nice.

We did not like HOlden Inn in Wellfleet. Our room was strange & there are no services - not even coffee on the property so you have to leave the property to get a coffee. For those of you who need their caffein right away, this might not work!

The Cove Motel in Orleans www.thecoveorleans.com is located on the Town Cove. It's a great choice.

Just called them and they are sold out for next weekend. They suggested the Rodeway Inn www.rodewayinnorleans.com . That's where they send their overflow and he said they have had very positive feedback from the people they have sent there.

Have a great time! I spoke with someone who went on a whale watch yesterday and they saw a lot of whales. The most the captain had seen this summer! And the dinner train is terrific too.

Hello everyone - just wanted to thank you all and report back. We ended up staying at the Bradford Inn in Chatham. It was perfect for my mother and I although a bit more than I had originally intended to spend. Not sure we would do the train ride again but it was fun for once. Whale watch was also successful (although foggy) but we did see several whales. I believe the count was 7 or 8 humpback and 2 minke. Thanks again!
