Last minute Maui help!
 

We're leaving for Maui tomorrow morning and I haven't even started packing yet!

Thinking of bringing mostly bathing suits, shorts, and tank tops. Maybe one or two summer dresses. I really like to travel light. We anticipate doing alot of beachy/hike/bike rental type stuff.


Is this okay or do I need more? I'll definitely bring one sweatshirt.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I concur. And you won't even need the sweatshirt, except for the airplane! I would take both regular sandals and more beach-oriented flip-flops. If you're as casual as we are, we were there 9 days and never once wore slacks (shorts or sundresses for me and my daughter). But we don't eat at fancy restaurants -- prefer beach bars and the like.

I lived in Hawaii for three years any maybe wore pants once a year.

If you do a lot of hiking, bring jeans as they will reduce bug bites.

Also bring an extra pair of sneakers as the first pair will probably get wet hiking especially if you hike to any waterfalls.
