Las Vegas with kids
What can you do with two kids ages 11 & 13 for one night and one day in Vegas? Where would you recommend staying. Thanks.

You can "stay" anywhere with kids. They might like Circus Circus' Adventuredome. It has rollercoasters, lazer tag other rides and games all inside, plus they have their ever famous circus acts and huge midway area. You can take them to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, Luxor has the IMAX and other midway areas for kids, Ny Ny has the rollercoaster, MGM has lions inside to view (free), Mirage has Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden that has dolphins, tigers. CP has the Forum shops where the statues come to life (fun to watch). Then of course there are other things to do off the Strip, Red Rock Canyon, Bonnie Srpings Ranch (petting zoo and cowboy shootouts), shopping, bowling, muesums (Lied's) or the wax musesum at the Venetian. This should get you started. If they like heights, take them up top the Strat.

Excalibur is the top choice for families and offers a great location on the strip as well as family restaurants, the Kings Feast and tournament, game center, and numerous family activities.... Circus is OK but at the far end of the strip...

Many hotels are charging for kids in the room now, Flamingo is one that still doesn't as far as I know. With just one night, just walking from resort to resort and seeing the attractions like the Mirage volcano, Venetian canals, lion cubs at MGM, Caesar's forum mall/ aquarium etc will take up all of your time.

The dolphins and Secret Garden at the Mirage are fun for kids. But they close kind of early, so check the hours if you plan to go.

The pools at Mandelay Bay are some of the best around Vegas.
