Yet ANOTHER vote for the Mirage!

I loved the fact that it is surrounded by the better hotels leaving no room or space owned by seedy shops, and not much garbage being passed out by people on the street - it's a much cleaner and more well cared for area than the hotels further down/up the strip as Aladdin, Paris, MGM & Mandalay Bay. When you walk out or look out of a strip view room, you see a lot of glitz & sparkle... no seediness. I felt it was like a fantasy land, myself! If you go there, get a view of the volcano... your 8 year old will love watching it along with all of the other amazing sights at night!
