Las Vegas-Which one: The Palazzo or Wynn Encore?

I have been to Las Vegas many times and looking for something "new and different" for a hotel in Vegas Have stayed in Bellagio, Mirage, Mandalay Bay, and the Venetian. We will have a car so location is not a problem. I have narrowed my choices down to 2 hotels in Las Vegas: The Palazzo or Wynn Encore. Will be 2 adults, no kids. Which is nicer and has better service? Which has better rooms and pools? Thanks!

I'm dying to hear your responses. We're going Saturday and will stay at the Palazzo for the first time. We've never even walked in the door, but have seen the Wynn and it's lovely. Hopefully, we've made the right decision: it was based soley on the configuration of the suites (separate areas for sleeping).

The Palazzo is brutal if you're sensitive to the heavy fragrance that's continuously pumped throughout.

only stayed at the Wynn about 8 times and it is a 5* gorgeous hotel with the rooms extremely luxurious with the high thread count sheets, tons of luxe pillows.
Great restaurants too...love the pool and service is top notch.
Heard nothing but raves for the Wynn Encore and knowing how Steve Wynn works, he does nothing half ass.
I'm sure that the Palazzo is lovely but djk makes a valid point on the fragrance that is pumped everywhere.

The Wynn, as ksucat suggests, is wonderful. If fact, I'm not sure there is any reason to stay at any other Vegas hotel! The Encore is said to be similar... I don't see how you could go wrong.

Have never stayed at Encore but have stayed at Palazzo. It is very nice - large, well appointed suites, many good restaurants. I am sure you can't go wrong with either the Palazzo or Encore.

SusanCS - just want to make sure you know that, although the Palazzo suite has a living room area and a bedroom area, they are not separated by any walls. You walk down a couple of steps from the bedroom area and you are in the living room.

Oh I forgot to add that I agree with the other posters about the pumped in fragrance. It doesn't really bother me to the extent that I wouldn't stay there but they do go a little overboard with it.

I've stayed at both. IMO Encore is a notch above room wise. If you enjoy walking to other casinos it is a bit further to get to other casinos from Encore.
