Las Vegas What to See

My husband and I are headed for LV in January. I was wondering what a good show would be to see. I hear Mystere is excellent
from all I read but I don't really like magic shows, is this a magic show?

See Mystere...it has some magic but it is a circus type show with fabulous music and is really something you can't describe. It is so worth the money. I have never heard of anyone not loving it.

Go to lvol.com. This site has everything you need to know about Vegas. If you have any specific questions e-mail me. The wool coat post you have out depends on how much walking you plan to do. It is great fun to walk the strip and the weather varies. I would bring a coat. You can dress super casual or to the nines. Anything goes in Vegas. Just bring comfortable shoes as there is so much to see.

Hi Marie

We went to Vegas (first time) in October, and had a BLAST!!! We did see the show Mystere. VERY GOOD!!!! I definetely recommend this show! It's a bit expensive but worth every nickel.. Also, I hear the show "O" at the Bellagio is Excellent. We didn't get to see that show, it was sold out. I also heard EFX is a great show from a friend who just went to Vegas. I say see Mystere, it's a sort of a circus show. GREAT!!

My husband and I went to LV in October and can't wait to go back! We saw Mystere and it was worth it! It was a phenomenal show and you don't know what to expect in the beginning. I also heard that 'O' at the Bellagio is excellent but we could not get tickets. A bit of advice...if you know the dates when you are going, call ahead for tickets. We also saw Sig & Roy and I just loved it. Sig did look a little tired but it is an awesome show and I would see it again.

Have fun and if you have any other questions, send me an e-mail!

My 2 cents: I saw FX with David Cassidy some time ago, I think Tommy Tune is doing it now - it was a really good over-the-top spectacular show! (no nudity). Although it's expensive ($75) Sigfried & Roy is worth it, too. Not your typical magic show of sawing showgirls in half! Don't forget about checking out what entertainers will be performing in the showrooms while you're there - check www.lasvegas.com for schedules (although not sure how accurate it may be, but will give you some ideas).

My brother has been to Vegas several times, and I've never heard him rave over a show like he did for "O" at Bellagio. Tickets are steep (I think about $100) but he said well worth it. Check out the boards other users have posted to see if any top names will be in town during the time you'll be there.

Marie,

It may be too late for you to get tickets if you intend to go to LV this month, but try to go see "O" at the Bellagio. Tickets are $100/person, but worth every cent. I'd pay $100 again to see "O" for the second time. It was a performance I can't describe. . . beautiful, beautiful!!!!

At the risk of repeating myself from other posts, I recommend "O" also, along with Mystere. One a visit probably...all my purse can afford. I've seen Mystere three times, and on a visit last summer went to see "O". We stayed at the Bellagio and were able to order tickets early. As we left the performance, I mentioned to my husband that I thought I liked "O" a tiny bit better than Mystere. Both are superlative. You might try standing in line very, very early (ask) in order to get returned tickets the nights of the show. There will be a long line of hopefuls. If not now, then next time...there's always a next time in Vegas...
