Las Vegas Strip pools - closing times?

I apologize if this has been asked recently. I've read lots of Vegas threads and haven't seen it ...

In general, what time do the pools open and close at the resorts on the Strip? Which ones, if any, are open later than others? What about seasonal closing? Are there fixed dates these pools are closed for the winter? Thanks.

Just got back from Vegas. We stayed at the Flamingo Hilton in the middle of the strip. They have their annual pool party every year sponsored by Fosters. The pool party goes from 4pm until 8pm and you don't have to be a guest to attend. During those hours, the 24 oz cans of Fosters are 2 for $7. Other hotels do have pools that are open longer, check the web sites. Some of our favorite pools are at the Tropicana, Flamingo and Monte Carlo. I hear Mandalay Bay has a beach set up with real waves, but I've never stayed there. As far as opening times, it gets hot in Vegas very early and since few people get up early in Vegas the pools are always open by the time we get there. Have a great time!

In August 2003 pool at Flamingo closed at 6 PM, even though temperature was over 100 degrees. It was open at 8 AM when I went downstairs for coffee.

And I thought there are strip pools where people strip (line nude bathing) and I thought how come I've never heard of them before? What a disappointment :)

One of the pools (Mandalay Bay, I believe) does have a section for nudests.

The Mandalay Bay does not have a section for "nudists" rather it has the Moorea Pool (pay to enter) for topless bathing. No kids and very quiet - you dont't HAVE to go topless if you don't want to.

We once stayed at MGM in late April/early May; temperatures were in 80's. We specifically picked this hotel because my husband would be in meetings during some of the days, and I wanted to have a great pool to keep me occupied. When we went to see the pools, MGM had all of them closed except one! I had asked about their pools when making our reservations, and no one had said some of the pools would be closed. When we went to front desk after we arrived to tell them some of the pools were closed, they gave us a $100 comp for our 'inconvenience,' and then later when we went down to the pool area, all the pools were open! I guess they wait until somebody complains. But, even then, all pools at MGM closed at 6 p.m. It would be great to sit out by their pools at night, but we figured they wanted everybody in the casinos.
