las vegas spa

We're staying at the Monte Carlo in late February and I'd like to spend some Spa time while my hubby is at the poker tables. How is the Monte Carlo spa? Is there a better one?

Hey swalter518,

I think you'll find that most people will say that the Bellagio and Venetian have the two best spas in Vegas.

I surprised my wife with a spa package when we we stayed at the Bellagio in November and she loved it.

The Bellagio spa is absolutely divine, but the bad news is you have to be a guest of the Bellagio to use it.

Way to tease me Lori! How about the Venetian, do you have to be a guest to use it's spa?

LoriNY Jan 6th, 2004 06:01 AM

I don't believe you have to be a guest of the Venetian - I think their spa is the Canyon Ranch which is open to the public. Not sure tho since I have never stayed at the Venetian.

I'll check out the Venetian. Has anyone tried the Monte Carlo's spa? How is it?

The spa at the JW Marriott (which BTW is gorgeous and our new fave hotel in LV) out in Summerlin (25 min. from the central Strip) is reportedly one of the best in the country. My better half will attest, as will our credit card bill. Visit the Marriott on the way to the Red Rocks for a fun outing.

Gardyloo, thanks for the tip. We have such a short trip and no car that I'm not sure if we will make it off the Strip. I'll definately remember that in the future though.

it's worth a cab ride to mandalay bay spa (check out the spa menu online). my wife and i go each year for "his and hers", but be advised, they have same sex masseuses (sp). P.S. they've got a better poker room than Monte Carlo, so your hubby will be happy.

Thanks flopmeister-that sounds perfect. Hopefully he'll win enough money to pay for my spa bill! :)

I have had a massage at MGM as it was rated number one...wrong. I have had a massage at the Mirage...the amenities were great but the massage was fair...probably because i had a male do it and i was uncomfortable with it. Then i had a massage at Bally's...SUPER...the girl's name is Sherry...Sherry has a new room there with a tabletop fountain in her room with some type of fragrance and neat lighting (in this new specific section)...all these things made this massage very worthwhile along with the massage she gave...the "other" made it so relaxing also. Now, when i go for a massage i ask for these things and if they don't have them they do not get my business. I don't want someone talking to me during my massage it's my time to relax and enjoy!
