I unexpected found myself at the Bootlegger Bistro during my last trip to Vegas, which is a lovely Italian restaurant way off the strip, past the airport. They do a cabaret show on Saturday night at 10:00 that I'm sure older folks will love! (no cover charge either!) They had a guy named Freddy Bell who was a popular singer in the 50s, as well as a very nice trio and a guy doing a fantastic marionnette routine. Sometimes, famous performers just show up and join in the act. I think the folks would love it - all the old standards, lots of interaction with the audience. If you have a car to get there, I think you'd all enjoy it. The food was fantastic too!

I don't think your 83 year old grandmother's parents are gonna stay up late enough to take in a show!

Danny Gans, the impersonator, appeals to that crowd, as do Penn & Teller, if they are performing.

can't go wrong with any of the Circe' shows.

<<can't go wrong with any of the Circe' shows.>>

I assume you mean "Cirque du Soleil" shows, and you certainly could go wrong if you took the older folks to Zumanity! LOL (The other ones would probably be OK!)

There are also a number of matinee shows if the late hour is a problem. Check out the www.vegas.com website and click on Shows, then All Shows. There will be a place to put in the dates you'll be in Vegas, and you'll get a list of all the performances during that time frame.

Ha Ha, no my parents and my grandmother. An 83 year old and two 60 somethings.
My grandmother is hard of hearing so she may not follow jokes and story telling. And I'm not sure she will recognize many impersonators post Dolly Parton. And I wonder if an 83 year old person would get the Cirque du Soleil shows. I think it might seem a bit bizarre to the uninitiated? I'll check out the other stuff. Thanks!

Just wanted to report back. Jubilee was a winner. My Grandma was very pleased. Also nice was the fact that the handicapped/Wheelchair seating is at a table right up front.
