Las Vegas restaurant advice?

We're a group of 8 who'll be visiting Las Vegas for a Friday to Monday long weekend. We have a reservation for Friday night at Circo. Any other suggestions?? Thanks.

Any specific suggestions for steaks?

For steak, it's Prime in the Bellagio.

Craftsteak at MGM is, from what I hear (haven't been but have a reservation later this month) just slightly better than Prime, though having eaten at Prime several times, it's hard to imagine that there's anything better. "Rich people quietly eating meat."

You can eat at a great Steakhouse anywhere. When in Vegas, experience classic Vegas. THE PEPPERMILL!

I had a mouth watering steak at Delmonico's

I've had excellent meals at Delmonico's (Venetian), Nero's (Caesar's Palace) and 3950 (Mandalay Bay).

I have to second the suggestion for Nero's in Caesars Palace. Great steaks!

One thing I've been wondering about. Is it possible to be spontaneous about dinner in Las Vegas? We are eight people, and will be in Vegas for dinner Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Is it typical to just be able to sit, or are most places booked ahead? Thanks.

I think vegas is going to be packed this weekend (what else is new?) There's a boxing match at the Mirage . . .

Depends on where you want to go. Most of the better restaurants will be quite crowded on the weekend. I think it would be hard for a group of 8 to just be able to walk and sit w/out a reservation (unless you plan on eating very early or very late).

Where are you staying? All of the top hotels in Vegas have solid dining options. I suggest that you take a look at the restaurants in your hotel when you first get there and make some reservations.
