Las Vegas or Montreal?

A small group of us (gay men) are thinking of traveling to either Las Vegas or Montreal this October to celebrate two of our birthdays (50 and 47). Most of us have been to Las Vegas but only a small number have been to Montreal. Vegas offers a lot but not much for gay tourists (though we'd love to see Bette and do some spa treatments). Montreal has clubs (whcih we'd all love) but not sure what else we can do there.

We're within driving distance of Montreal (seven hours).

What would your choice be?

Is weather a consideration? In October, the average high in Las Vegas is 80 F. whereas it is 55 F. in Montreal.

Some years ago I had a good time in Montreal being wined and dined by somebody with a generous expense account. I loved the city under those circumstance, but I don't know if I would have had much fun there spending my own money, which was paltry at the time.

On that same trip, I went to Quebec City--a delightful place to which I hope to return some day.

I think you might get more bang for your buck in Las Vegas.

Happy: I think we're leaning toward Vegas. You're right -- we can probably get so much more for our $$ in Vegas this year. Thanks!

Enjoy, and happy birthday.

What about Nola, otherwise Montreal.

you can book rooms at the flamingo for anywhere from $50+ right now in vegas. flights are priced pretty well too. as long as no one gambles too much, it's a good place to go right now price wise. a nice day trip would be renting a boat on lake mead.
