Las Vegas Night Clubs

We're going to Vegas in April for three nights and staying at the Grand. Where should we go clubbing? Considering the Voo Doo Lounge, Rain, Studio 54, and the Ghost Bar. Are there any others we should not miss?

The Carnival Court at Harrah's can be fun. Not a club, per se, but a good place to hear music and get into the Vegas atmosphere. I highly recommend you go see Cook E. Jarr - the kind of entertainer that defines Vegas.

Depending on how old you are, rumjungle at the Mandalay was pretty happening. It was kind of dead at Ra in the Luxor.

I second rumjungle at Mandalay. Ghost Bar is pretty overrated IMO. The view from outside is great, but the drinks are SUPER expensive. Pair that with the $20 per person cover and 2 hr wait in line...I just wasn't that impressed. THen again, if you can spring for the 2 bottle minimum reservered table ($600 to start) you might have a different opinion.

Rain was fun...don't try and get into Studio 54 with tennis shoes on :) Coyote Ugly in the NYNY was a good time, although a bit crowded and check out the Piano Bar on Times Square if you get the chance. We go there everytime we're in Vegas.

OH!!! Almost forgot Red Square! A must go to bar in Mandalay. Fantasic martinis and atmosphere.

oh my gawd!! I wanted to go to Red Square very badly but my friends pooh-poohed it because the menu posted outside looked too expensive. was it really that expensive??

We always begin a night out in Vegas at Red Square. Martinis are about $8 - 12, depending on what you order. We did once order a round for a party of 6 that ran us $120, but we were drinking Bellinis with a Russian vodka. You can get a Key Lime Pie Martini, with graham cracker crust on the rim, or a Chernobyl (guarranteed to cause a melt down!) for under $10.

It's not inexpensive (I think I spent around $75, not including drinks!), but what's nice is you don't have to eat there to enjoy the atmosphere. I like going just to have a martini (so many vodkas to choose from!) Stop in -- enjoy the ice bar, as well as the great drinks and bartenders (and if you're really lucky, maybe you'll get a tour of the private vodka lockers :)

I can't find what the cover is for Sudio 54. Any ideas how much it is for a Friday or Sat night? I see where ladies are free on Thursdays.
