Las Vegas New Years

Has anyone ever been to Vegas for New Years? I'm going this year and was hoping to find some of the better spots to ring in the new years at. We like to party, but would prefer not to be sandwiched in where you can't even get a beer or to the pisser. I've been to Vegas before, so I already know where to stay and where to go for casinos. Please let me know if anyone can help.....and Thanks! Have a happy holiday!

Hi,<BR>We are going for the first time also. will do the strip - free, closed to traffic and you can drink on the street and watch the fireworks. If I wanted to club it I could stay in NYC. Anyway check out lvol.com and lasvegas.com for info

Remember that they usually lock the doors of the casinos/hotels to keep all the reveler on the streets from coming in at midnight. The streets will be mobbed.

I watched a show on the Travel channel the other p.m. For those who do not have special &quot;invites&quot; to the high rolling parties, they said there is something for everyone! There is a wonderful fireworks display at 12:00. I think it will be very crowded but a fun experience.
