Las Vegas--Mirage or Paris
We can get an $89 upgraded room at the Mirage or a $99 room at Paris. Which should we choose? We don't care about the casino or the pool, but do care about the rooms themselves as well as overall hotel quality

Paris is the newer property of the two and seems to be a popular destination/location on the Strip for many. However, the Mirage is known for having MANY repeat customers (that should say something in itself), there is just something about the Mirage that draws an elite crowd. With rates under $100. you are getting a GREAT deal and probably couldn't go wrong with either property.

Paris for $99/night???? What's there to think about?????

We stayed at Mirage a couple of yrs ago and were disappointed with the overall quality (large brown stains (burn marks?) on towels, etc.). This was a couple of years ago so unless they've done a major reno since, it will only have gone downhill.
Enjoy-la! |
I've stayed at the Mirage 3 times, although we now usually stay at the Venetian...have NEVER had any problems with housekeeping and certainly never had a "towel problem" which has absolutely nothing to do with overall room quality IMO.

I've never stayed at Paris, but I will be returning to the Mirage in a few weeks. In the last 8 years I've stayed at the Mirage over 10 times, we love it.

We've stayed at both hotels, Mirage 2 years ago, Paris last year. I personally think that the Mirage has a more upscale feel about it. We had a renovated room at the Mirage and it was very nice. Paris' room was bigger (we ended up with a corner room). Both have good locations IMO. You really can't go wrong with either but for the price, I'd pick the Mirage.
