Las Vegas Liquor Store
 

I like to have a cocktail before dinner and prefer to have it in the room before we leave. Are there liquor stores along the strip where one can buy a small bottle of scotch or the like. Staying at NY NY.

There is a liquor store at the main intersection north of the new Wynn Casino--a long walk from NY NY, and you'll need a car to get to other liquor stores. How about pakcing an unopened 1/5th in your suitcase?

Yes, there are plenty of gift shops that sell liquor outside on the Strip, even the one inside the NY,NY might sell it. There is a huge Lees Discount Liquor just south on the Strip a little if you will have a car.

PS~about the only thing you can't buy inside the hotel gift stores is gum.

I'd also recommend packing a bottle. It's much cheaper and you can bring a larger size if you wish. In addition to the gift shops you can buy some mixers at the CVS or Walgreens which isn't a far walk from NY NY. Also, in case you're interested, there's a store in the Aladdin's mall which sells 12 packs of beer in addition to hard alcohol.

There is one on the side street behind & between Flamango and Ballys. About 1 1/2 blocks off strip.
