Las Vegas - LA suggested route?
We are Australians and spending a few days in Vegas after a cruise to Mexico over Christmas 07. We have a spare day/night on our way back to LA from Las Vegas (2 nights)is it possible to drive through Death Valley and Sequoria National Park at that time of the year? Is there a better route to take? Most grateful for any input.

Death Valley is possible, but Sequioa absolutely not. Entrance of that park is only on the west side, so you need to drive all the way to Bakersfield and north.
DV is very interesting, do visit Zabriskie Pt, Badwater etc. If you plan to stay overnight make a reservation.
