Las Vegas January or February?
The hubby & I are planning a trip to Vegas to celebrate his graduation from graduate school. We are trying to decide whether to go in Jan. or Feb.? Is there a certain month (Jan/Feb)that is less expensive hotel wise? I seem to recall that this time of year was convention time, so I need some local advice.
Thanks |
It is always convention time in Las Vegas----
Feb.is rainy season- so be prepared...RENT a CAR as traffic is at a standstill out there in the rain if you are in the cab and the meter is running..( THIS happened to us! ) as traffic on the strip was at a dead halt.. |
Probably will be higher than avg at this time. You might be able to get during week 2-3 of Jan but from Super Bowl through March Madness, it should be pretty busy.

thanks for the replies!

There's no rainy season in Las Vegas, it rains less than 10 times per year :) Andy, what terrible luck! There is a convention calander at www.lvcva.com, click meeting planners.

The rainy thing sounded suspicious, but I did forget about the sports playoff season. I'll check out the convention website to see if I could avoid some of them as well.
Thanks again. |
LOL, rainy season in LV!
Vegas gets 4.1 inches of rain per year, and an average of from 0.4-0.6 inches in each of 7 months evenly scattered throughout the year. Las Vegas has measurable precipitation on an average of 26 days per year. |
