Las Vegas in February - hotel recommendations please
My husband and I are traveling to Las Vegas in February and I am looking for a hotel that's clean and affordable. It doesn't have to have the bells and whistles as we probably will only be sleeping there but it has to be clean and within walking distance to the strip. Thanks

We have stayed many times at the Trump Vegas hotel which is right off the strip, across from the Wynn and Encore.
Its a 5* resort without the 5* price...of course, it depends on when you go and Jan/Feb can be busy with conventions. If you're going to a convention, book now. I've paid around $120+ for a one bedroom suite..high floor, overlooking strip. Shuttle bus runs every half hour to Wynn and Caesar's Palace. They have sub zero appliances and high count linens. No casino, which is nice. Treasure Island or Luxor are good value hotels on the strip. Check Expedia, kayak for deals, along with direct. |
>>clean and affordable<<
Not unless you tell us what you consider 'affordable'. What is your budget? Also room rates are VERY date specific. Weekends are much higher than weekdays, and holiday periods make Feb pricey even on some weekdays. |
Conventions and sporting events also have a huge impact on Las Vegas rates.
Off-Strip hotel rates are not affected quite as much by some of these events, but there are really not that many off-Strip hotels that are really comfortably within walking distance of the Strip. You might do better by finding something within reasonable Uber distance of the Strip or consider renting a car. Reasonably priced restaurants are much easier to find if you are willing to drive 10 minutes to a more residential area. Or simply stay downtown, which is always cheaper. |
