Las Vegas Hotels Promotion Code

Hi,

I'm planning to go to Las Vegas on June 22-26. Does anyone know a promotion code for any hotels on the strip during this time frame?

Thanks.

There's a convention of 20,000+ people (including me) in town during that time...good luck finding a room!

20,000 people is no big deal. If that convention is being hosted by one of the resorts, that resort may have higher rates than normal, but others will still be competitive.

Since you are staying over a weekend, expect to pay higher rates for Friday and Saturday night.

Can you give us your budget and desired location and hotel type?

I prefer mid-strip. I stayed at Mirage before and thought it was quite a walk to everything else. I was looking into MGM Grand, Paris, Bally's and Planet Hollywood due to their locations. I'm leaning toward MGM Grand because of the pool, but it looks a bit too far south. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

If you thought the walk from/at the Mirage was too much - don't stay at the MGM - EVERYTHING in there is a long walk from everything else and that's just in the hotel. You'd be better off at Flamingo, Bally's, Paris, Monte Carlo.

Especially in the heat of late June! Try hotwire, you can pick your region.

I agree with Bashful LV. The most central location can be found at the Flamingo, Bally's, Paris, Bellagio and Caesar's.

20,000 people for a convention is really nothing in Las Vegas. It shouldn't have much of an impact. I was there once during a convention of 130,000 people - now that we noticed!

How would you rate Harrahs for a couple nights stay, used for sleeping only?

wanderluster May 24th, 2007 01:35 PM

Can someone compare these 3 for 2-3 nights:

*Harrahs
*Riviera
*Imperial Palace

Just want a place as close to the *middle* of the strip as possible
for sleeping,
maybe using the pool.

This would be in early September
(if that matters) at the end of
a canyons tour.

Thanks for any feedback.

I'd recommend Harrah's, Ballys, or Excalibur for decent / inexpensive places to stay on the strip. I stayed at the Riviera a few yrs back and would not stay there again. It's very run down...

To answer the original question, here is a link to current promotions in Vegas:

Rates are actually pretty low (not including the weekend)for that time, I got the MGM for $129 for a Suite...$99 for a regular room. I saw Harrahs for $55 earlier this moth for that time (not including weekend)

Thank you Pumpy. You confirmed what I was thinking.
Milemarker, great site. So you were considering Harrahs too?
It seems to be right in the very middle of all the *action* - your thoughts?
From anyone?

Harrahs is ok...nothing special, but a good mid strip location.

I got my promotion codes from Broadwaybox.com/lasvegas the last time I was booking. There are some good rates there, mainly on the MGM venues. Worth a look.

I know ktny333 has already gone on his/her trip, but I just wanted to say that I too think that http://www.vegas-promotions.com is good at listing the deals. They're pretty good about being up to date about everything, and I like how you can sort through the deals according to when you're traveling, and where you want to stay...a lot of the other sites don't let you do that.
