Las Vegas Hotel Under $100

Is it reasonable to think I could get a room at a clean hotel on the strip in early June?

Any suggestions would be great!

TIA

It's possible that you could be near $100 for a room at Flamingo. I would also recommend that you consider bidding on Priceline (but use www.biddingfortravel.com for tips before you place a bid).

If it's a Sunday - Thursday night, it should be easier. If it's a Friday or Saturday, it will be more difficult.

It is getting more rare every day to find anything under $100 - all Strip hotels have been raising their rates constantly. Sun-Thurs. used to be a bargain, but not much anymore. About the only time you can find under $100 without a problem is the week before Christmas (for example, the Mirage has a $79/nite rate then).

You might check some of the less "fashionable" Strip hotels, i.e. the Stardust, Excalibur, Sahara if you can't find anything else. Conventions rule the rates in Vegas these days and no month is convention-less anymore.

As noted earlier: Yes if Sunday-Thursday. My choices would be (1) Bally's, (2) Treasure Island (TI), and (3) Monte Carlo--in that order.

I would check the Barbary Coast You may find one in downtown LV like the Golden Nuggut. It all depends on the star rating, and as said the days of the week. Sun-thursday.

June 4th - 7th (Check in Sun, out Wed.), downtown looks like the best deal. I just checked on Expedia (not the best deals, but an easy check), and it has Fitzgeralds and Four Queens around $45.- a night. The above mentioned Golden Nuggett is $70.- a night, and a definate step up from other downtown properties. Off strip, Gold Coast and Orleans avg. $66/ 69 a night. And the usual North Strip and North off strip bargains of Stratosphere, Circus Circus, Riviera and Palace Station in the $50.- to $65.- range. At those places I'd pay more for Tower rooms and steer away from Manor and Courtyard rooms. Oh, the Barbary Coast wasn't available those dates.

check Imperial Palace website. If nothing pans out there, try calling them direct and applying for a players card to get their casino rate.
