Las Vegas hotel recommendations
Hi-
My family and I will need a hotel for one night 8/6/21 in Las Vegas. We prefer a hotel without a casino and more low-key vibe. Are there any hotels geared for families? We would like to be within 10–15 minutes from the airport as we have an early flight the next day. Thank you for all suggestions in advance. |
We just had a nice stay last week at a new property for us called the Desert Rose Resort. It's a non-gaming resort located one and a half blocks off the Las Vegas strip. We rented it because we prefer a complete condo with a kitchen, especially these days so we can have breakfast in the room etc. We were impressed by the cleanliness and then fact that they had folks patrolling the parking lot night and day (we were on a road trip so had left things in our trunk). Nice staff and no resort fees. It is on Duke Ellington drive and the property is made up of various buildings. We were in building 4 in room top floor Room 3210. We liked that room because we had no above us and then it had a peek-a-boo view of the pool without the noise. We booked it on booking.com but here is the Tripadvisor link which shows you various booking options:
https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...as_Nevada.html If you don't need the kitchen, then I would also recommend Tuscany Suites which will probably be a little less money. As I remember they will put a microwave in your room if you request it but they don't have kitchens. It does have a casino but it is pretty separate from the resort itself and then rooms are very large. Overall though, we preferred the Desert Rose. Both properties are near each other and only about 5 minutes from the airport. |
Thank you for the all your information and great recommendations!

Yes I second that distance to airport shouldn't be an issue. Most of the places to stay in Vegas are clustered pretty near to the strip and really only 5-10 minutes at most from the airport depending on traffic.

That's a Friday and LV rates usually double on the weekends. There's a new Residence Inn a few blocks from the airport, 7690 LV Blvd South....with large rooms/suites, a pool for the kids, breakfast that starts at 6:30am and a shuttle to the airport that starts at 7am
Across the street from the Residence Inn is a Hilton Garden Inn that also has an airport shuttle, and a small pool, but no breakfast included. Both places have free parking and are about 5 mins from the rental-car-return center if that's where you're headed in the morning. (allow a half hour (at least) for car rental return as the shuttle from there to the airport can take 15 mins) |
