Las Vegas hotel near Mandalay Bay
Looking for a hotel within walking distance of Mandalay Bay? I want to go to a show there, but can't afford the $500 nightly rate.. Any suggestions? Thank you!!

Luxor, Excalibur, Monte Carlo are fairly close and on the same side of the strip. Perhaps MGM Grand as well?

Luxor and Excalibur have a free connecting monorail. I don't know how late it's running, maybe somebody knows?

Tropicana is across the street, and it's less expensive.

SanRemoLasVegas or Hawthorne Suites Duke Ellington are budget choices nearby.

I am pretty sure that the shuttle/tram from Excalibur is 24/7 and free (I know that it is free for sure). The only other strip Hotel close by not mentioned is NYNY. My order of on strip choices would be:

Monte Carlo
NYNY
Luxor
MGM
Excalibur
Tropicana
