hedgehog - You are most welcome. Always pleased to help a visitor from across the pond! Section 203 for Mystere is great. As for dining after the show, what type of food / experience are you desiring? Other than the buffets at TI and Mirage(neither very good) we've not eaten at either. There are so many good restaurants at Caesars, Bellagio, the Flamingo, Venetian, Wynns, all within walking distance if you have sturdy shoes on. Don't hesitate to treat yourself to a cab, even for a short distance, if you don't feel like hoofing it. I second the opinion that the Rio is not within walking distance and that it's an exposed walk along a hugely busy street (Flamingo Road) with nothing really to look at. I wasn't that impressed with the Rio. We went once to see the free show on the casino floor, and not again. Some people love it, however.

Thanks Braunsky. I guess you've asked a very relevant question about what kind of dining experience we would be looking for after Mystere and to be honest I'm not sure really! I was just hoping someone might say "you just HAVE to try ... at TI or the Wynn or Mirage or ..." you get my drift. Maybe that would be a good night to check out the Wynn buffet.

I returned from Vegas yesterday and I want to recommend the breakfast buffet at the Wynn. It was fantastic. We always thought the breakfast buffet at Paris was the best, but now I vote for the Wynn. It is a lovely setting and we really enjoyed our meal. I'm sure lunch and dinner are equally great.
We had the dinner buffet at Bellagio and while the food was excellent, the atmosphere is definitely lacking. We waited in line for one hour and I'm not sure I would do that again.
Have fun!

Hedgehog - Wynns buffet is definitely our favorite for lunch. The food is outstanding and the setting beautiful. I'd expect dinner (or breakfast) to be equally good. I just know the Wynn lunch buffet is the best value in Vegas. Their buffet is only open until 10:30 pm on Fri & Sat, 10pm the rest of the week. Price and type of cuisine are the major factors with other restaurants. Our favorites are all at Bellagio - the Prime for steak (all a la carte - likely $120-$150 per person with a drink), Picasso for their four course continental prix fix meal ($95.00, and better than the more expensive 5 course meal because you get a choice for each course - with the 5 course you get what the chef picks), and wonderful decor with genuine Picasso's on the wall. Olives is also very good. Many people love Le Cirque, we just haven't tried it yet. You can get tables with views of the Bellagio fountains at all of these. If you are going downtown and want an old fashioned romantic Vegas restaurant with nary a nouvelle cuisine dish in site & they give a rose to all the ladies, try Hugo's Cellar at the Four Queens. For a casual meal, the Bellagio cafe beside the conservatory is very good, especially if you can get a table overlooking the conservatory. (I may be repeating myself.) Check out the web sites for each hotel. They almost always post menus.

It sounds like we should arrive at the Wynn buffet for breakfast and then just stay all day ... and then spend the next day in the gym at the Bellagio! Thanks Mikesmum and Braunsky.
