Las Vegas "family" restaurants

I've read all the postings about buffets and
certainly we will give those a try. Any other suggestions for decent, not too expensive, family appropriate restaurants located near Flamingo Hilton. Thanks.

Try Dive!, a submarine-themed restaurant. See a review at http://www.lasvegas-nv.com/restrevs/dive.htm.

I'm not sure how close it is to your hotel. I know we drove there from the MGM Grand.

There's a Rain Forest Cafe located in the MGM. While there, make sure to take tke kids over to see the lion exhibit (free).

Another fun family restaurant choice is the Hard Rock Cafe. Good burgers and plenty to look at on the walls for roaming eyes.

besides Lindy`s(in the Flamingo)there is Conrad`s($$$$) and a coulpe of Buffets`....between Flamingo and Imperial Palace there is O' Sheas(owned by the F)..it has a Burger King,Subway and a couple others...and Barbary Coast on the other side of the "F" has a couple good restaurants...check cheapovegas.com for reviews of restaurants in the casinos..Hilton doesn`t own the "F" anymore ..it`s owned by the same co. as Bally`s an Paris...also you can go toBallys'..the Big Buffet has great Bkfst`s..and a little rest' right inside the back door(name escapes me)..good bkfst. for price..(something like Stage Deli or something like that(name) ).....on the way to the monorail that goes to MGM....sometimes a dinner/lunch/bkfst costs as much as the buffet...they have a nice, reasonable one the "F"...hope this helps....

Don't miss the In n Out Burger places and Marie Callendars Restaurant has best food and pies. Neither on strip.

Although located away from the Strip, a place we really enjoyed was the Venetian Restaurant. It is an old time Italian place near the Palace Station Hotel. There is also Battista's Hole in the Wall, a block from the Flamingo Hilton.
