Las Vegas Dining
 

We will be at the Bellagio in April to entertain clients. Would like suggestions on some really good restaurants but can't do seafood/sushi. I know there are a lot of great restaurants -- any that are "must do"?
Not worried about the cost.

The Bellagio and strip have wonderful restaurants, most of which you cannot go wrong. We were there a year ago and at atop the Palm Casino, just off strip. Alize was the name of the place. It was good, fru-fru, expensive, but well done food, an excellent wine list, and a fantastic view of the strip. However, our favorite place was Rosemary's (on West Sahara in Summerlin/"the Lakes" area). Just exellent food, and fairly reasonable relative to the strip. The downside is it is a $25 cab ride out there. A one day van or limo would be worth the $$ for a group. On Sunday's the wine list is half-off which is nice. They also offer a chef-choice menu where you get five courses that the chef chooses for you. Execellent and a must do for us! Have fun!

Bellagio has wonderful restaurants. Prime is a beautiful place for excellent steak. Picasso has a great prix fix menu and is very elegant. We liked the 4 course menu because you had some choices and can avoid the more nouvelle cuisine items. Service was superb at both. Le Cirque gets great reviews, but we haven't eaten there. Check out Bellagio's web site. The menus are available online for all their restaurants.

Not at the Bellagio but conveniently across the street at Paris Hotel is Mon Ami Gabi. A very nicely situated restaurant fronting the strip; talented chef (think perfect escargot for your first course and a lovely filet mignon with mushroom and red wine reduction), and gracious service. I would pick this restaurant over any other on the strip.

Well, if cost really is no object, then you might as well go to the best:

Joel Robouchon - MGM
Alex - Wynn Las Vegas
Picasso, Prime - Bellagio
Guy Savoy - Caesar's Palace

I've also heard good things about Fiamma and Nob Hill at MGM, and of course, L'Atelier de Joel Robouchon - though, this may be too casual for a business dinner since it's all counter seating. Mix has great views, but the reviews are so-so for the food. Alize has the view and the food.

All four excellent suggestions in the post just above with Guy Savoy being the crème de la crème.
