Las Vegas buffets-Suggesstions

First timer to Vegas. Do any buffets serve Alaskan King Crab legs? What are the best buffets in LV?

Take a cab to Rio - it's off the strip. You won't find a larger buffet. I don't remember if there were crab legs, but there probably was. There are numerous stations, even a made-to-order stir fry station, and the food is above average. Go hungry and be prepared to wait in line. Enjoy!

Rio's buffet is the biggest and used to be the best....quality wise also. Quality isn't what it used to be, but it's not bad.

The Rio's buffet has definitely gone downhill since Harrahs took over the property. The lunch buffet at the Bellagio is excellent and a good deal at $12.50.

I do have to mention an escape clause to my recommendation. I am talking about the Bellagio before MGM bought it from Steve Wynn a few months ago. I cannot guarantee that MGM has maintained the excellent buffet's that were chracteristic of the Steve Wynn. properties. I suspect that the quality of the properties will decrease somewhat over time because of the MGM acquisition.

Friend just ate at the Bellagio evening buffet earlier this week and said it was excellent. Expensive, but well worth it.

Suggestion: If you're going to the Rio, check out the shuttle service from Harrah's. I THINK it's free. It is located in the very back of the Casino outside the doors to the left. (This is the main entrance for hotel guests checking in/out or needing a taxi.)Ask at the desk if you don't immediately see the buses.

For good all round food that doesn't cost a fortune the dinner buffets at the Golden Nugget downtown and at the Monte Carlo on the strip are very good.

The Rio Seafood buffet is so not worth it. I'm most likely spoiled because I live in New England and ahve a better knowledge about yummy seafood. JoJO just try some of the smaller 24 cafes you get better food and certainly not the crowds of overeating, gamble weary patrons. My opinion of the buffet does not reflect my opinion of the casino. The Rio is the only place to stay in Vegas!!!
Have a good trip none the less VIVA!
