Las Vegas airport - 10PM to 5:30AM - sit/sleep or get hotel room?

I'll be arriving around 10PM, and my flight is at 6:45AM the next morning. I do have a hotel reservation, but am rethinking possibly just staying at the airport. Is there any activity there during the early morning hours? Is anything open? I did read somewhere that there is only one bar that is open all night....
Any suggestions as to where to comfortably sit and possibly sleep a bit?
Or should I just go with the hotel room? Any opinions?
(active senior female -- I don't think I would be afraid.....if that makes any difference)

Here's a link to the Las Vegas page of a web site devoted to sleeping in airports:

Hope this helps you with your decision...

Considering how cheap hotels are in Vegas and how close the airport is to town I can;t believe anyone wold even contemplate not getting a room.

Thanks for the website, Don; I think that's the one I had read last week........doesn't sound too good, does it? It sounds like there aren't very many people around...
Any other opinions?

I would get a room as close to the airport as possible. Just being able to take a shower between flights makes it worth the cost, IMO.

ny - yeah, I know...

My opinion is that it's almost the entire night, so you shouldn't even consider not staying in a hotel.

socialworker -- you're right -- forgot about that part! :)
I can get to the hotel by 11, have a cheap margarita, sleep 5 hours, take a nice shower and take shuttle back to airport at 5AM. That should work okay..... and then I wouldn't be so tired at the end of that day!

sf7307 -- yep, you're right. I do have the reservation; it was just one of those thoughts....

Or you could take a shuttle or taxi to the nearest casino and just hang out there all night. Probably cost more than a hotel room though, unless you are a much better gambler than me!

keep your room, have a drink, gamble a little bit..eat, sleep for a couple of hours, shower and head out..
Manadalay Bay is the closest hotel.
The slots at the Vegas airport are some of the luckiest I have found anywhere in town..
