Las Vegas

Going to Vegas in few weeks. Some moms and their 21 yr. old daughters. Any ideas on clean fun, fun places to eat.
thankx

This topic comes up several times a DAY on this Forum. And your request as posed is impossibly vague. What do you consider "fun" as far as entertainment or food? What's your budget? The best entertainment and food aren't cheap, but you can have lots of fun without breaking the bank.

Still, what YOU need to do is basic research. Pore over the Forum, look at the Las Vegas destination guide here on fodors.com, and come back with specific questions.

wow...

liz3kids, take them to the Excalibur show - Tournament of Kings. Dinner is included and pretty affordable.

For starters, I think moms and their 21 year old daughters will want to go shopping in Las Vegas. I really don't think the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur would have much appeal. At least it wouldn't to me, but, you never know.

The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace, Desert Passage at the Aladdin, Fashion Show Mall, Canal Shoppes at the Venetian will all have lots of shops and restaurants to keep you busy.

I'm not sure where you are staying, but you might enjoy going to a spa while in Vegas. Your daughters might enjoy Madame Tussaude's Wax Museum at the Venetian. We thought it was fun.

I would recommend seeing a show. The Cirque du Soleil shows are all great. Mystere, LOVE, "O" and Ka! are big fun. I would not recommend Zumanity with your daughters - not appropriate.

There are so many good restaurants in Vegas. We like some of the buffets (Paris, Wynn, Bellagio, for example). The Grand Lux at the Venetian is fun (think Cheesecake Factory). We like Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel. You will find all kinds of great restaurants depending on your budget.

I hope this is helpful.

Have fun!

Who is to say that Zumanity is not appropriate??? The daughters are 21.

Where are you staying? If it is a major casino, you should be able to find a few nice, clean places to eat.
Fun places might include Kahunaville at TI with flair bartenders in the bar area and a colorful fountain show every 30 minutes or so in the main dining area. It is casual and affordable.
If the Carnival Court at Harrah's is open (and it isn't too cold) that might be a good mid-day or early evening place (it gets wilder at night).

The Hard Rock Hotel will probably be of interest, too.

Take Care,
Mark
