Las vegas
Does the tram run from Treasure Island to Bellagio - we will stay at Treasure Island and plan to see O at Bellagio - have a member in our party that cannot walk that far. If we have to take a cab - does anyone have any idea what it would cost - also about what would a cab cost to Fremont Street from Treasure Island. Renting a car is out of the question - no one wants to take on driving in Vegas. Thanks for all your help.

There is a free monorail that runs from Bellagio to Monte Carlo, but I know of nothing that connects Bellagio to TI. If you're thinking of the Las Vegas Monorail, it's on the other side of the street. The walk from your hotel across the street, though to the station and then back across to Bellagio would probably be about as far as walking to Bellagio itself.
It's not far, so a cab should be pretty reasonable. Another option, if others in your party are up for walking, is to rent a motorized cart or wheelchair for the person who cannot walk that far. Check with your hotel for details. |
No, JLM, the question is about the tram - you know the one which runs in the back of the hotels with the wooden seats that hurt your bum :) Apple, it doesn't run often and may be packed... probably the bus is a better bet.

I've never ridden the tram. The only thing I know of like that is the one between Bellagio and Monte Carlo. Do you have a website with more info on the tram? Just never knew it existed, or where it goes.

I don't have the URL... it may be out of business since the monorail as I can't find it!

There was also a tram which ran between Mirage and Treasure Island, although last time we were in Vegas it seemed to be not running. I also know of nothing from Treasure Island to Bellagio -- and I can't picture where it would cross the street between Bellagio and Caesars.

Just returned from nearly 2 weeks in Vegas (business trip).
As others have mentioned, there is a tram between TI and the Mirage, another between Bellagio and Monte Carlo, and a 3rd between Mandalay Bay, Luxor and Excalibur. All were running. None go between Bellagio and TI. Take a cab. Took one between MGM Grand and Paris and it was around $5. Will likely be about the same between TI and Bellagio. Here's a good map of the trams and monorail: http://www.vegas.com/transportation/monorails.html Ken |
The seats we sat on were made of fiberglas, painted a color some would term oyster. Didn't see any wooden seats. Where are the wooden seats?

applejack,
The best option for you would be to take a cab, as there's no tram between TI and Bellagio. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes and $5-6. |
Cab from TI to freemont will run about $20.

Thanks to all for the helpful info on the trams and cab fares.
