Las Vegas-4 Seasons or Wynn
at the Wynn:
Is there significant shade at the pool? Are there "services" offered (spritz down, fruit ices, chair set-up) ? Does the Wynn pool tend to attract families with children? What kind of crowd does the Wynn get? at the 4 Seasons: has anyone stayed there recently that can tell me whether the outstanding customer service is still available (even in this economic downturn)? |
Wynn pool is incredible with a European section for topless and there is ample amounts of shade and misters and its a first class venue all the way around..
I am a 4 seasons kind of guy but it does nothing for me in Vegas..just my 2 cents. Wynn is 5* and the restaurants match it too.. Love Alex and Daniel Bouluds and we like the Country Club for lunch. I have seen children at the pool but not many and they have guards at every gate so there are no crashers. Love the Wynn and think you will be very happy. Just got another e-mail for $109 midweek with $50 food/resort credit..sign up for the e-mails.. Have fun! www.wynnlasvegas.com |
Ksucat: I was finally able to get that Wynn promo as per your suggestion. Thank you for alerting me as to its existence.
4 Seasons is very relaxing, has a fantastic fitness room, and outstanding service but we've stayed there many times and it's not as exciting, is in a less than desirable location and costs significantly more than Wynn. We've done Bellagio (a few times) and are not fans of looky-looky crowds, racing to save chairs, obnoxious children with parents in denial and the fratboy-boobjobs-bellyring crowd. Hence, 4 Seasons or Wynn. |
Don't know about the Four Seasons but my husband and I stayed at the Wynn in Feb. and the Encore in August. We got a GREAT rate through Resort Marketing because we had stayed there before. I also got a "Friends and Family" rate for family members. We have stayed at various hotels through the years and will now always stay at either of the above mentioned hotels. I disagree with people who say they don't like the location. We love the location! Not as crowded and much more upscale than other places on the strip. Once you get past the Venetian the area gets a bit run down on that side of the street. We found some great restaurants across the street at the Fashion Show Mall. Cafe Baba Reeba has wonderful sangria and tapas 1/2 price from 4-7 Mondays through Thursday. Steakburger is also good. On the third floor of the mall we discovered a food court that the teenagers ate at. All ten of us (4 adults, 4 adult children and 3 teenagers) thought the best meal we had (value, service, and quality) was lunch at the Capitol Grill which is also at the mall. It was a bit pricey but much better than the food at the Society Cafe in the Encore. We also discovered a Walgreens and a liquor store a block away going towards the Sahara. We saved a lot of money on basics, beer and wine. Every employee at the Wynn and the Encore was very pleasant and helpful. There are some little touches they add that I liked. Free ice water was available at the pool and wait staff came around and offered small cups of fruit.Nice touch. One other thing my husband and I liked is that both of the casinos are smaller, less crowded and more intimate than the other hotels we've stayed at. Plus the rooms and the overall design of the hotel and the landscaping are absolutely beautiful.

Hey Anony..
Wynn is the way to go..glad you got the promo rate. It is a lovely 5* hotel throughout..pool and rooms are stunning beds with 1,00 count sheets and 8 down pillows per bed. Love 4 seasons hotel but the Wynn has it beat. When do you go? |
If it helps – both of these hotels are at opposite ends of the strip. I've stayed at the Wynn and have enjoyed it both times. And I'm a pool gal, so I found the crowd there not the typical Vegas pool-party crowd. More relaxing. As far as the Four Seasons goes, this is not a gaming hotel, so if you want to gamble I believe you'll be out of luck.
