Las Vegas
We have been to Vegas a couple of times. We have stayed at the Venezia tower and The Hotel at Madelay Bay. We are in our 40's, love good food, poker, decnt slots and great broadway shows. We are looking at a trip this fall - we are looking at Venetian, Wynn, and Bellagio. We are open to suggestions about which you would prefer and if there are others that we might be missing. We would like a nice room, great service and goot restaurants in the hotel. Thanks so much!

Of this 3 I have stayed at the Wynn and just recently the Bellagio. Can't go wrong with either hotels. Both had wonderful pool areas. Very clean hotels. Bellagio is very centrally located and the rooms were roomy and very nice. The Wynn's rooms were superb-the most comfortable bed I've stayed in for a hotel.

IMO <amdalay Bay is too far south on the Strip. Haven't stayed at Bellagio, but Wynn is very nice and a good selection of restauranrts plus able to walk to other properties more easily than from Mandalay Bay.

I have not stayed at the Wynn or Venetian. I have stayed at the Bellagio. It is beautiful and centrally located on the strip.
That said, I think any of them are at the high end of the spectrum for Vegas hotels and you wouldn't go wrong with any of them

Venetian/Palazzo pair have excellent restaurants, though all three of the hotels mentioned are close enough that you can walk from one to the other for meals (for example we stayed at Wynn/Encore once and always walked over to Venetian to eat breakfast at Thomas Keller's Bouchon, the best breakfast in Vegas).
Maybe the best steakhouse in Vegas is Wolfgang Puck's CUT, which is in the Palazzo (which is connected via a shopping court to Venetian, sort of like Wynn and Encore). Wynn used to have a highly regarded restaurant, Alex, but it closed last winter. Still has a couple of good restos but not as good as the other hotels mentioned.
If you want a fine French restaurant then probably Picasso at Bellagio, though we liked Guy Savoy at nearby Caesar's Palace better (you can stay at Bellagio and walk over to Caesar's).
Wynn/Encore had great views but there are serious problems with noise in rooms facing the pool area on nights they have pool parties, which last from 11 PM to 4 AM or so. They only have the parties certain nights so if not on the nights you are there then no problem, but otherwise you want to be facing away from the pool.
Anyway, I'd probably pick Venetian/Palazzo for our next trip (partly because we want to try CUT for steak next trip) but all three are good choices.

Have stayed at all three, most recently at Bellagio where there are n all-night pool parties since the pool is closed after a certain hour.
Hard for me to comment on the cost (make that OVER-priced) in some of the restasurants in ALL of these hotels since I live in a city which has excellent restaurant choices already.
I don't think you can go wrong with all three except perhaps to realize that in the end, "decent" slots or not, you are gonna lose but you already knoew that.

I've stayed at all three. My wife and I are in our mid-40's and also look for great restaurants when in Vegas.
We were very partial to the Bellagio. We used to love the rooms that faced the strip and the Bellagio fountains. The level of service was also great. My wife was there recently for business and thought it had noticeably slipped.
The standard rooms at the Venetian are larger, which is a plus. But, we didn't like the Venetian pool relative to the pool at Bellagio.
We LOVED Bellagio when Steve Wynn ran it. His employees were loyal to him and the level of detail and service was unreal for a hotel that large. We were very disappointed the Wynn failed to match that "magic." I thought the wall were incredibly thin,
All three have their plusses and minuses and fans and detractors. Other than breakfast, I'm not sure we've ever been concerned with what restaurants are at which because going between hotels is the norm, anyway.
The one sticking point for us is the place where my wife would most like to play blackjack. I'm usually heading to the room earlier than she is. If anything, I'm more concerned about picking the place where I know she'll be safe walking back to the room by herself at 2:00 a.m. All three of those hotels give me no concern in that regard.

Wynn is great and you can't go wrong there. The restaurants are great (Okada is my favorite sushi in Vegas).
Another good choice now is Aria at CityCenter. It has a central location and has a lot of good restaurants.
You might want to try this questionnaire which will help select the best hotel based on your preferences: http://www.vegashotelspecial.com/ind...match-service/
