I will be at Vegas during Christmas & wil be staying at the Flamingo. Any comments? <BR>Will the shopping centers will close on Christmas Eve & Christmas & when will they reopened? Are there any sales at the major shopping centers? <BR>Are tours to Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam still operating? Any recommendations?

We stayed at the Flamingo over Thanksgiving three years ago and enjoyed it. We had Thanksgiving dinner at the hotel and it was very good. You'll like the location of the Flamingo and the service is fine.

We stayed at the Flamingo the first time to Vegas and it was very nice. Plus it is across the street from Cesars Palace and the Mirage. I don't know about the shops at Christmastime, but we spent last Thanksgiving at New York New York and it was business as usual. All the shops and retaurants were open on Thanksgiving Day.

I'd suggest reposting this with Christmas in Las Vegas as your header for better response.

Since the Fashion Show Mall (on the Strip between The New Frontier and Treasure Island)is a typical mall with several large department stores, I would assume they would have the same After-Christmas sales December 26 as other shopping malls, but you should check to make sure. www.lasvegas.com has a great shopping page with contact information for all the shopping centers.
