Best bet is to go to cheapovegas.com . Lots of good info there.

I'm going to Vegas in mid-February checking the websites for a month now. The prices just gone down on Expedia. Did not have time to check the other sites yet. Reading posts here instead :)

Try Southwestvacatons.com

Best deal is not real specific. Consistently, the Tropicana, Flamingo Hilton and Monte Carlo tend to have some very low rates especially if you are travelling from Sun-Thurs. That's if you want to be on the Strip. Have fun.

southwestvactions.com goes to cheaprooms.com. is that right?

I'm going in mid-Feb too. Hotels usually offer specials right on their own websites. That's how I got mine (Paris, $89/nite but now sold out). Treasure Island is, i.m.o., probably the best combo of good quality/low prices. It's a bit nicer than the other hotels in its price range.

My husband should be a Las Vegas Travel Agent. We fly Southwest Airlines and they are great. No frills and it gets to its location on time, every time. Great Airline. Also what he does is watch the Hotel Internet prices. The biggest thing with Las Vegas Hotel prices is simple Economics, Supply and Demand. The price will fluctuate hourly depending on how busy it is. He will book one hotel and then watch the prices at the that hotel and other choice hotels. We are actually staying at Mandalay Bay in March/April for 99 a night for 8 days. This includes 2 for 1 spa and a few other choice coupons. Also you can get great deals in the Los Angeles newspapers. We live in Boston and he reads the LA Times every week. The have great deals. You just have to spend the time and the deals are more than worth it.
