Las Veags - Dec 28 thru New Years... Need Help !

Hi
I am going to Vegas next week for the first time. We will be two couples in our late 20's. I would love some input from you great folks here.

1. Are there any 'must eats' while we are there?

2. Are there any 'must sees' ?

3. My biggest issue is New Year's Eve. Do you have any recs? We are not into hanging around a bunch of teenagers who are thrilled to have the chance to get smashed...

Are there any upscale nightclubs you would rec? I was considering a Masquerade Ball at Venus in the Venetian. It is $$$ but I don't know if it is elegant or cheesy. The other thing I was thinking might be good is to see the Sig & Roy show...

Any and all hints and tips would be GREATLY appreciated.

By the way, we are staying in Lake Las Vegas Hyatt Resort 1 night and remaining 3 nights at Treasure Island. We are getting the TI for about avg. $150 for 29-31st. Is that good?

Thanks again for you help!!
Good clubs- Ra at the luxor and studio 54 at the MGM, also the nightclub at the Rio. We are in our mid 30's and will do the strip for New years. They close it to traffic and you can drink, socialize and watch the fireworks. must eats? Bellagio champagne brunch buffet - do not drive... we are staying at the excLIbur for about $50 a night - hope you actually spend some time in the TI room for $100 more...
Message: go to slots of fun. they have $1 21. it is hours of fun. Check out what conventions are in town - one time the porn actors convention was there - for a nominal fee I saw some of my favorites actors in person. Ride the roller-coster on top of the stratosphere (after lunch). Then have lunch in the cafe there-reasonable and great view. Go on the roller coaster ride at the NY Ny - another fun ride. Tour the Guggenheim - they currently have a motorcycle through the ages display. Lunch at the Bellagio buffet. Take a brewery tour of the Holy cow brewery - they have a good sausage platter. renting a car? - see Hoover dam - can you say vertigo? worth the trip

Avoid Siegfried and Roy unless you're 65 years old and you love to watch Hee Haw reruns. What a joke. (Doubt you'd get tix at this late date anyway).

You'll have a very tough time getting a seat at the better restaurants at this point also. You should be making call now for the dates around NYE.

If you'll put Las Vegas in the search box you'll find dozens of answers to all your (commonly asked) questions.

I will also be in Vegas over NYE. It will be very crowded. There are a number of good clubs - but expect very expensive admissions. For example, Club Rio's admission is $100 per person. Also, I'd suggest that you try to make reservations for dinner ASAP. There are many choices, although some of the hotel restaurants are not accepting reservations (as is the case with all of the gourmet restaurants at Caesar's Palace). For midnight, I think we'll probably be out on the strip for the fireworks display.

Second Harriet's response concerning Sigfried and Roy. They pretty much sucked and I am getting close to the senior age circuit.
