Lance Burton reality check

I just learned that the magic starts even before the show; money disappears (in ticket prices). The venue web site shows only two ticket classes - mezzanine and balcony at $65 and $60. I can swallow those without too much gulping. Other on-line ticketing services show what I presume to be main floor tickets ranging from $122 to $165. As it's five tickets I'm looking for, I'm choking on those prices.

So, two questions:
Can you see the show from the mezzanine and balcony?
Do you really have to pay that much for main floor seating? (And, why doesn't the venue web site list ticket prices for the main floor?)

If you go through the venue website, it's not real time inventory but a "request" so they probably want to restrict it to seats that they expect to always be available. You can probably call the box office for real time inventory. One cool thing about Vegas is they haven't yet succomed to the whole Ticketmaster thing so they have multiple avenues of ticket distribution.

Unless someone in your group really has a thing for Lance or big stage magic, I'd recommend at least considering one of the smaller magic shows where tickets can be had at 2 for 1 or even free with drinks. I haven't seen the show but a friend of mine did and said it was only worth it because the tix were comped. If you really like magic, maybe it's great...

My daughter and I saw Lance Burton 2 years ago. I believe I bought the tickets through the Monte Carlo's website. We sat just a few rows from the front of the stage. At that time we paid about $50 each for our tickets. We both enjoyed the show very much and would recommend it.

Thanks for the replies. It's the Monte Carlo's website, mlm, that only shows mezzanine and balcony tickets. I'll check out main floor prices when I get there, but I'll probably end up doing as Loki suggested and find a different magic show.

Check out Mac King at Harrah's. It's regarded as the best bargain show in Vegas. There's booth at the Harrah's carnival court open from 12-8PM giving out free tickets which require buying one drink for like $7, so think of it as $7 tickets. Try that first and if you're itching for more, then plunk down the bucks for Lance.
