Lanai: What is there to do if you do not golf?
I will be in Lanai next week and do not golf. What is there to do other than lie in the sun?

I'll be going in 2 weeks myself and was wondering the same thing. There's Lanai city, I know. I have done some net researching and I don't think there's any movie theatres. I'm bringing lots of books and mags = )

look back through search for Lanai posts - there was a rather long one recently.
Bring lots of books to relax with- the resorts pretty much close up by 11 pm - no food, no drink available late. There is some sightseeing but not tons and the shopping area of Lanai City is takes five minutes to walk across. Your time will be mostly spent at the resort.

*Horseback riding above Koele Lodge.
*Play on the beach at Manele bay.
*Rent a jeep and drive around the island Stop at Shipwreck beach.
*Boat trip, scuba, snorkeling, thru the hotel
*Sit in a rocking chair on the lanai and watch people or read
*Mini golf at Koele (free)
*Lanai city ;-) sightseeing, shopping and lunch will take at least an hour!
*Watch the stars at night...it is DARK once the hotels turn off their lights.

In answer to my own post of June 16...I went to Lanai and will probably never go back. Manele Bay not all that great. Koele has great golf...if you golf. I don't golf so was stuck in a red jeep driving some god-forsaken Garden of the Gods area and looking for a beer.
