Lake Tahoe - Summer - What to pack?
 

We will be going to South Lake Tahoe this July. It seems that during the day, shorts would be ok. I don't know what to pack for the night. Is it really too cool for capris and sandals? How casual are the casinos and restaurants? Thanks for the help.

Lake Tahoe generally has lovely weather in the summer, but be prepared for the possibility of thunderstorms. Despite the fact that the temps cool in the evening, you should be comfortable in capris and sandals with a light sweater.

The casinos are quite casual. For the restaurants, well, it depends on which one. Some casinos have one more elegant restaurant, but all have casual eateries and/or buffets. There are also restaurants outside of the casinos which vary in formality, just as in any area.
