Lake Tahoe restaurants
 

Need restaurant recommendations for South Lake Tahoe. Prefer causual Italian, steak or seafood. Any casino restaurant suggestions would also be appreciated. Also, are any of the shows in the casino hotels worth seeing? Thanks for the help!

Probably the best casual Italian restaurant in S. Lake Tahoe is Scuza's on Ski Run Blvd. For Seafood, the Fresh Ketch in Tahoe Keys and the Beacon Bar and Grill at Camp Richardson are very good. The best steak house used to be at Caesars, but its recently been changed to the MontBleu and I haven't been there since the conversion. Other than that, I can't think of any place I would call a great steak house. By the way, if you like Mexican, the Cantina on Hwy 89 is excellent.

I can't remember the name of the restaurant but we have eaten there twice now and it is fabulous. It is the steakhouse in Harrah's south shore. The food was scrumptious and the service was excellent.

Our favorite steak house in So. Lake Tahoe is the Sage Room, casino level of Harvey's Hotel. Their Friday night Seafood Buffet is very good, too.

Our favorite casual Italian, is Tep's Villa Roma on the CA side.
