Lake Tahoe-November

What is there to do in Tahoe in November? Will there be snow to ski?

This is the question we ask every year! The snow will start some time in November or they'll begin to make it then. If you're a good skier you probably want to wait for a while or consider going to Colorado. Tahoe is beautiful at anytime of the year, but predicting snow is tough.

Novermber is one of my favorite times at Lake Tahoe. I like to rent a lakefront cabin or condo, build a fire in the fireplace, sit in the livingroom or on the deck drinking hot chocolate and just enjoy the scenery.

J has it right on. No one there cause there's nothin to do. No snow, too cold to swim/boat. Absolutely quiet and beautiful.

One time were were up at Lake Tahoe, I think it was in November, and my husband and I rented a condo right on the lake at north shore. We have a great view all the way across the lake - could see the casino lights at night. One afternoon we were sitting on the deck over looking the lake. It was cold, but we were bundled up and had our hot chocolate. We watched a storm coming in across the mountains south of the lake. It was really cool too watch as it came towards us across the lake, obsuring everything. It was an icy rainstorm, so when it got to our shore we went inside, built a fire in the fireplace, sat all nice and cozy in our condo, and watched the storm until it got dark.
