The Hyatt has a terrific lakeside Restaurant called Lone Eagle Grille.

Carnelian Bay has the wonderful lakeside restaurant Garwoods.

I was just about to mention Lone Eagle as well...good food, beautiful views.

In Incline I would also try Austin's (classic American) or Le Bistro (French). One of my favorite restaurants in Tahoe is Fiamma (Italian) in Tahoe City.

If you find yourself near the West Shore just off the bike path is Rubicon Deli located in the Tahoe Tree Nursery. Huge sandwiches on homemade breads. Great place to stop while bike riding.

For breakfast, the Old Post Office in Carnelian Bay, or Log Cabin Ice Cream & Cafe in Kings Beach are long time favorites.

BelTib:

Have you ever tried the Fondue place in Incline? We have been going to N.Tahoe for 20 years and I have always been curious about this place. Is it any good?

MY:

No, I have not been to La Fondue. I know it's located across from the Hyatt in the same area as Austin's and Le Bistro. Maybe superk will report back with a review??

Thanks for all your help! We do have members of our party who dig the Fondue thing, so I would not be surprised if it ends up on the 'table.' If so, I will report back!

We ate at the Fondue place last summer and enjoyed it. It is a tiny intimate restaurant. There were a few other restaurants in that same complex that looked good but we didn't get a chance to try them.

Good place for bagels in Tahoe City called Syd's.
