Lake Tahoe: Harrahs or Harveys?

Anyone stayed at both that can give me a comparison of rooms and hotels (restaurants, casinos,ect.). Prices for rooms with views of the lake are running the same at both.

I have stayed at both and was sold on Harveys until I stayed at Harrahs. They are both very nice but, Harrahs has a standard room with two bathrooms that contain a t.v. in both. They are about 500 plus square feet and that's a standard room. Also, I usually get a cheaper rate at Harrahs than Harveys.

I agree with pb regarding rooms, but I like the younger crowd for gambling at Harveys. They are connected by a tunnel, so you can easily use both for restaurants. You should be happy with either one!

Does anyone have ann opinion on how Caesars compares with these two?

Unless you can get a suite at Ceasars, I'm still sold on Harrahs. Ceasars is EXPENSIVE! I had a friend that had a room comped there. The room was a spa suite and very nice but, it still wasn't as big as Harrahs, plus you can't beat having two bathrooms. In my opinion anyway. I think their standard rooms are pretty average.

Harrah's - Harvey's. Tomayto - Tomahto.
Both are similar and connected by a tunnel and by ownership. I like the Harrah's buffet better and enjoy having double bathrooms. Harvey's views can be superior; but, who spends time in the room at Tahoe?

Hi gang-

I'll be in Tahoe next month. I was torn between Caesars (because of their neat pool) and Harveys & Harrah's. (Because of the bathrooms and size of rooms).

Question: How do the pools compare?

How about the location? Is Caesar's off of the beaten track?
Brrrrr.......

Actually, the places have indoor pools. I think that Harvey's and Harrah's share theirs...it might be partially enclosed, but advertised as "year round" and heated.

The pool at Caesar's is "lagoon style" with a waterfall....indoors.

Stayed at Caesars last winter and got a great rate at $89 a night. I've not stayed at Harrahs but I found the pool, casino, & restaurants at Caesar's to be very nice. Our room had a huge sauna area and I don't about you but one bathroom was plenty big for my wife, daughter, & I. Enjoy PS: All the Casino hotels are very close in proximity/walking distance to each other
