LAKE TAHOE

Please someone give me the information on the places you have stayed while in Lake Tahoe. I need a place to make reservations for January and i would like to hear what people who have been have to say.

We stayed at Harrahs. It was nice.

We've stayed at:

Lakeland Village, South Lake Tahoe - lakefront and lakeview condos, close to stateline.

Zephyr Cove Resort, Zephyr Cove - lakefront and lakeview cabins, old-style Lake Tahoe, a significant distance from Stateline to to get some piece and quiet, close enough to drive for dinner, gambling, and whatever.

Brockway Springs Resort, Kings Beach - lakefront and lakeview condos, away from the casinos, quiet area.

We are gamblers so we always stay at Harveys--the bathroom is huge!! There is an underground tunnel going across the street to Harrah's so you don't freeze/ get hit by a car on Hwy 50 when going across.

What are you looking for? Large casino or motel? North or south?

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites at stateline, the Tahoe Seasons at the base of Heavenly, The Hyatt at Incline, Sunnyside Resort near Tahoe City. All are really nice.

Stayed in many cabins/homes in Homewood, Tahoma and Meeks Bay.

Stayed in Squaw Valley Inn in Squaw Valley. Great place too!

Do you want a casino or more space?

Embassy suites gives you a little more room and includes breakfast. Tahoe Seasons has a little kitchenette in it and is alot like Embassy.

Hyatt is like any hotel room but has down comforters and a lodgy feel.

Squaw Valley Inn/Plumpjacks is a really cool place. Very different rooms.

My husband likes to play poker at the casinos. So we are looking at South lake tahoe. I want something nice. Not the highest dollar place of course. Please be specific if you will about any details for rooms, food, etc...

The other place I would reccomend is Ceasars Lake Tahoe--it has the round bath tub which is fun. Other than the tub it is your standard casino hotel room-not too big, not to small--nothing remarkable. I always get stuck on the side overlooking the parking lot but I can't complain as I stay there when they send me comps.
