I too will be in Tahoe first week in December and have heard that resorts make snow for skiing.

You'll see snow in December but I disagree with Helle that you'll always see snow. I just got back a couple of weeks ago andthere was no snow on the mountain peaks.

I live here in Lake Tahoe and work at Squaw Valley and we should have snow on the mountains and have skiing by December. There may not be any snow at Lake level but a drive up to the higher elevations or a tram ride at Squaw should put your feet on some white stuff. Who cares about snow today, 80 degrees and sunny, can't be any nicer.
