Lake Tahoe

I'm looking for direction on where to stay for a long weekend in Feb (President's Day) with friends (6 of us on a girls trip).
We're only there for 3 nights, but want to stay where some of us can ski in the morning and some of the others can go shopping, gamble, etc. Also would like to be in walking distance of some restaurants & bars. Looking at the Hyatt cottage in Incline Village. Would consider renting a house/condo if we have to drive everywhere regardless.
Thanks!

Please do not keep reposting the same question all day long. You can bring up your previous post in a search. I just looked and one of your previous posts is only down to #25 and has a reply.

Try Lakeland Village condos. Close to Heavenly Valley, lots of different condo sizes, close to Southshore restaurants and casinos.

The Hyatt at Incline is not really within walking distance in February of anything. It's also a drive to tski. You might want to consider the south shore for more skiing, gambling and eating. The new gondola is now right next to the Embassy suites which is right at the atate line. This means that you could also walk to it from Harveys and Harrahs and I imagine that Ceasars would have a shuttle to it.

There is no doubt that the cottages at the Hyatt are lovely but I don't see the advantage of being right on the lake in February. The casino is across the street fromt he cottages but the Eagle restaurant is on the same side as the cottages.

Stay at Harveys Casino. Has shuttle to ski resorts, tunnel to Harrahs, fun gambling/music, lots of restaurants and shopping nearby.
