Lake Powell

Does anyone know about the water levels at Lake Powell now? I think Arizona got rain this winter but don't know if Lake Powell got any. We're going there in October and want to take a float trip.

They expect the lake to get a good shot of water this year. It will take many years to fill it back up though. That being said there is still LOTS of water in the lake. The lower levels have increased the amount of shoreline and beach area and in some cases improved the fishing.
I have reserved a houseboat for a week in August and expect to have a wonderful time!
Go, enjoy!

From what I've read, Colorado Rockies, where most of the water comes from, got normal this year.

You shouldn't have to worry about the float trip....one of the reasons for the dam is to release water down stream and so the float trip should be fine.
