Lake Havasu

Is Lake Havasu worth taking some time to see on a road trip?

The two things worth seeing are Lake Havasu and London Bridge. You can rent anything from a kayak to a houseboat to go out on the lake. The bridge was bought at auction for $2,460,000.

IMO, whether the stop is "worth it" depends a lot on when you're going. It can be insanely crowded on holiday weekends. In summer, it can be insanely hot. Death Valley hot. 110+

We drove through there on a recent road trip and didn't find anything appealing about it. It's a good place to visit if you like the "resort" type atmosphere. Me, not so much.

Yes, definitely, especially if you're into water sports. I never miss it for my paddleboarding trips whenever I'm in AZ.
