Lake George Campground - HELP!

Hi,

We are going to Lake George this weekend and we would like to stay at a camping (tent), any recommendations? We dont really care for price...we just would prefer the nicest/cleanest one.....no kids...both in mid 20's...we will prob go to a water park and relax at the camping.

Also, if we like waterpark...should we do six flags or waterslide world?

I wish I could help: I've only stayed in campgrounds farther south (Catskills), and unfortunately don't remember the names of any of them! :(

I would only camp at a state run campground in the Adirondacks. They are always the best. I don't know which ones are in/near Lake George.

Watch the other campgrounds - some are right on highways.

I was thinking about the Lake George Escape, Lake George / Saratoga KOA or the Jellystone park (About 30-40 minutes north)

Any comments....what about six flags vs. waterslide world? and by the way THANKS for the resposnes!

Try the Battleground Campground right in Lake George. Its a little rustic but very close to everything.

Thanks for the response, however I had just finish booking a site at the KOA by the time I saw your post....how is the KOA?
