Lake Charles cajun restaurant

Out-of-towner in Lake Charles for a couple of days seeks a place to get some good local cuisine - can anyone help?

Thanks!

Ask the locals when you get there. You won't find many people who don't know where a good restaurant is located. I'm not a local, but perhaps someone on the forum is. Otherwise, just ask around; in that area you will find that almost any restaurant will have good food that you will like.

No first-hand knowledge personally, but found this website that might guide you to someplace good.

I can help. Pat's of Henderson is excellent. They serve seafood and steak. You can check out the website. I've lived in Lake Charles for over 30 years and it is my absolute favorite choice.

Try Steamboat Bill's on the Lake and order their crawfish pistolettes. Yummy! I'm getting hungry just thinking about it...

If you have some time, try Henderson of Hayes out on Highway 14. Great Cajun food and music as well.

Pats of Henderson is good as well.

Steamboat Bill's it delicious. I'm a true Cajun and I thought it was very authentic. I had my doubts because it is literally on I-10, but I'd definitely stop there again.
