lahaina breakfast recommendations needed.......
 

we are staying at "lahaina shores" hotel in lahaina. no restaurant there. where do we go for a hot breakfast at reasonable price? (we have a car) any great buffets?

I asked a similar Q before I went to Maui. The Gazebo was wonderful. All of the hotels have buffets...expensive but lots of food.

Here are some replies I got...

<i>The best place that we have found in Maui in the Kapalua area is the Plantation House at the Kapalua Golf Course Clubhouse..the views are incredible and the food is always good and cheap too! The Salmon or the Ahi Benedict is to die for.
It will take about 15 minutes or less but is it so worth it!
The Gazebo is outstanding too in Napili.

It's on the property of Outrigger Napili Shores (?) so if you go to Outrigger's site and search Maui on its drop-down menu, you should see a photo on the Napili Shores' page. Right by the ocean, open air, good food, good pancakes. Arrive early--crowds start coming at around 8:30, according to the kids. From there, head a bit further north along the oceanfront road (Lower Honoopiilani (sp?) not the highway, for some snorkeling coves near Kapalua.

A bit closer to the Westin, head south back into Lahaina town and try Cheeseburger in Paradise for bkfast. Also right on the waterfront, on Front St. Good food at other times as well, including drinks.

In Kaanapali try CJ's Diner for breakfast, I like their smoked salmon bagel, great heap of the stuff !! It's on the main road at the northern/western end of the resort on the left after you go under the bridge.

We travel there often,I never miss the breakfast at Longhis in Lahaina,they bake all their own bread and have fresh strawberry and other preserves,the keish ?excuse mt spelling is wonderful

My family stayed at that hotel a couple years ago. We always just walked someplace in town for breakfast. I especially enjoyed the Pioneer Inn on their porch. Cheeseburger in Paradise was OK too.

I forget the name but there is a restaurant RIGHT next door (literally it shares a fence with the hotel, you can see it from the pool area) that was a decent, kind of an &quot;old school&quot; restaurant. It is to the back of a small group of shops that you enter street-side.

Suze: We stayed there too! The next door place is Hecocks in the 525 Front Street complex, serves breakfast/lunch/dinner old school island style. We had dinners there, sit by the ocean side and you can watch the luau for free with better food. Also ate at the lovely Pacific 'O.
