Laguna-San Diego question?

Hi were currently booked into the Laguna riviera 9/1/05 for 4 nights but we want to visit Seaworld and San Diego zoo, so do we?
1. Drive down to San Diego on the 2nd and then again on the 3rd to visit the attractions?
2.Drop our first night in Laguna in favour of driving straight to San Diego, visiting the zoo, stay the night and do Seaworld the following day before finaly heading to Laguna for 3 nights?
Sorry if this is confusing but i'm confused.
Many thanks. Al

You will really love that entire area. I'd say your smartest move would be spending a night in San Diego. Mainly because of the far driving distance between the two points. I grew up in So Cal and spent alot of time in Laguna Beach. Enjoy!

I will second annalee's recommendation. You will waste a lot of time driving back and forth from Laguna and San Diego and it's not worth it. Spend that first night in San Diego and then head up to Laguna when you have been to the Zoo and Seaworld. Once you get to Laguna, you won't want to leave anyway. You can then spend your three days in Laguna just enjoying the beach.

Thanks for your help. Will be cancelling our first night in Laguna and booking one in San Diego.
Just hope the Laguna riviera let us cancel the one night as its a busy time of the year!

if they don't let you cancel it, don't sweat it. it only takes 1 1/4 hours to drive between the two. in the morning you can do a quick trip down the freeway (check rush hour times to try to avoid espcially around the freeway 5 & 805 merge) and in the evening, take the casual, more beautiful drive up the coast.

I don't think you have to worry about canceling one night. Changes can usually be made up to 72 hours in advance with no penalties. You are going to love Laguna! Have fun!
